BOWLER ranking2011

The ODI Bowler’s Ranking 2011 is out! in the Sixth edition of Vineet’s Cricket Rankings (Check out the ODI Bowler Rankings 2010 here)! And there are lots of surprises here, in fact, the bowling Top 30 almost got entirely revamped with a lot of new bowlers coming in. South Africans, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and West Indies did quite well to claim 4 spots in top 30. However, Pakistan with 3 in Top 10 stood heads over shoulders above others.

At the top of the heap are 2 people for the first time. Amit Mishra (India) and Saaed Ajmal (Pakistan) both claimed the Top Spot. Amit Mishra took 11 wickets for 199 runs at an average of 18.09 and an economy rate of 3.98. Saeed Ajmal with a superior economy rate of 3.48 and superior average of 17.08, however took 34 wickets for 584 runs in 20 matches at an inferior wickets per match average to tie with Amit. New find Vitori of Zimbabwe was 3rd taking 12 wickets for 200 runs at an average of 16.66 and an eco rate of 4.3. Tsotsobe again a new find from South Africa was 4th with 18 wickets for 295 runs at an ave of 16.38 and an eco rate of 4.4. Kyle Mills of NZ was 5th with 11 wickets for 236 runs at an ave of 21.45 and a very miserly eco rate of 4.02.

Now why did Australia not play Ryan Harris in 2011? A chronic knee injury ruled him out!
